WHY DO YOU TRAVEL?
Hola! My parents instilled in me the love of traveling at a young age. We had a 24' trailer and would go all over the western US, as far as Yellowstone, Vancouver BC, Ensenada, and everywhere in between! I grew up going to my Grandparents vacation home in Santa Cruz so my love for the ocean and a the beach is unparalleled. Attending college in San Diego (SDSU) I became acquainted with the Mexican culture and of course the delicious food. As an adult I have traveled Hawaii and Mexico many times. I prefer trips to Mexico, especially the Mayan Riviera (vs Cabo) due to the history of the Mayan Ruins, the casual vibe, and the people. I've been wanting to return to the Yucatan area to explore areas like Merida, Isla Mujeres, and other Mayan ruin sites. I would represent Cancun well as an experienced American traveler to the area, promoting both new and already visited locations and adventures. I know there is a lot more to do in the Mayan Riviera area than what I have already experienced and I look forward to sharing my new adventures and cities with followers of my social media accounts in blogs, videos, and photos. As a man of 55, yet young at heart thanks to my students, I will be able to connect with travelers of all ages. I have experience in writing from a 4 years of journalism and photography in high school, and a have a natural feel for presentations due to over 15 years in sales. I also crafted many form letters and marketing brochures in during my sales experience. I like to have a good eclectic mix of the typical tourist stuff but also locations & activities that might not be available as a tour at the mega-resorts. I'm starting a new phase in my life as a single man so I have the time, energy, knowledge, and optimistic adventurous spirit to do a great job enticing travelers to Cancun and the Yucatan area. Adios!
